Coal is one of the most economical sources of energy. It is very cheap, and it makes a lot of money. It is also very easy to build mines if the government needs to save the economy. Coal is the best option for countries that are more unfortunate than us. Many countries heavily rely on coal as their main energy source. So we should build more coal mines to impact those countries that heavily rely on coal. This energy source has positively impacted many countries and improved their economy.

It gives occupations to society. 30% of the US population are miners and increasing. If we stopped building mines, then more than 30% of the US population will lose their jobs. This will leave the US in extreme poverty. So we should make more mines to increase job opportunities. This will improve countries economy

Coal is not a renewable source of energy. It takes thousands of years to remake coal. If we use all of the coal now, then the next generation will have to suffer because of our wrongdoings. This isn’t fair on them. They deserve the same future as us. They should not have to suffer the consequences of our offence.

Plants and animals are also suffering the consequences of our bad behaviour. Plants and animals habitats are destroyed because of coal mines. Plants and animals lose their homes because we want coal. After the coal mine is abandoned the coal mine becomes inhabitable. Then the plants and animals have nowhere to live.

Coal mining releases a greenhouse gas such as sulphur dioxide, carbon dioxide as well as nitrogen dioxide. These gases contribute to global warming. Global warming is the world’s worst crisis. There is so much money being wasted on charities for global warming when the answer is in coal use. If we stopped using as much coal, then global warming would reduce rapidly.

In conclusion, Digging new coal mines is economical, and it gives people jobs. On the other hand, it isn’t renewable, the plants and animals surrounding the new mines are negatively impacted and mining contributes to pollution. In my opinion, we need to reduce our coal use. We have to start putting safety and sustainability before the convenience of coal. We keep putting lives of humans, plants and animals on the line just, so we can have electricity.
