Besides going outside and noticing over the years that temperatures have juristically changed there is actual experiments that have been done to prove the earth that it is changing and you can tell by looking at the weather outside or feeling it. Scientists have records of thermometers that they have kept from over the past century and a half. They’re keeping record of these thermometer measurements by entering all the data into a graph. In the article, “What is Climate Change” the author said, “The primary cause of climate change is the burning of fossil fuels, such as oil and coal, which emits greenhouse gases into the atmosphere—primarily carbon dioxide. Other human activities, such as agriculture and deforestation, also contribute to the proliferation of greenhouse gases that cause climate change. While some quantities of these gases are a naturally occurring and critical part of Earth’s temperature control system, the atmospheric concentration of CO2 did not rise above 300 parts per million between the advent of human civilization roughly 10,000 years ago and 1900. Today it is at about 400 ppm, a level not reached in more than 400,000 years.” What this article tells me that if out earth doesn’t get what we need, the humans and our weather can be in trouble. My Dad told me, the snow that we have in the mountains are melting because of climate change. Also, he said, if we lose all that snow we don’t have enough water for humans and animals can eventually die. It’s very important that we have snow because not only it help us, it’s good for our society. Also, another reason why need to have water is that animals need it to survive when something bad happens. Animals are very important to us. They are the reason why we they tell us something gone wrong in the world. Animals know when something isn’t right and they give us signs to tell us.

We need our animals to survive because they help us out. These animals help protect our trees, food, and other stuff, they alert us when something is bad happening. When we know something is wrong, we pick up because animals run or fly to a different direction when something goes terribly wrong. In the article, “These Animals Are Helping to Slow Climate—But They’re Dying” by Justin Worland, he said “The study, published in the journal Science Advances, shows how the loss of animals reduces the ability of forests to store carbon that would otherwise accelerate global warming. Large animals like large primates, tapirs and toucans play a key role distributing the seeds of the large trees that store the most carbon and in turn ensuring a healthy forest. The researchers note that tropical forests store 40% of the world’s carbon, but that carbon is released into the air when forests are degraded or destroyed.” Animals mean something to us, they care about us and want to protect us. Animals have been affected by the climate change because of the way it’s been bugging them. If they don’t like it they head to the opposite direction. In the article, “Climate and Weather” the author said, “Climate variability and change affects birdlife and animals in a number of ways; birds lay eggs earlier in the year than usual, plants bloom earlier and mammals are come out of hibernation sooner. The distribution of animals is also affected; with many species moving closer to the poles as a response to the rise in global temperatures. Birds are migrating and arriving at their nesting grounds earlier, and the nesting grounds that they are moving to are not as far away as they used to be and in some countries the birds don’t even leave anymore, as the climate is suitable all year round.” This proves my point of view that there’s something going on that these animals don’t like because certain animals come out late than early to explore for food or hunt and for birds they usually lay eggs later than early.

I want to know if we pay attention to climate change. I know for the most part that lot of Americans don’t pay attention or do not care about our climate change. Learning about climate change can make an impact in people lives. There are different things we can do to help the earth. Be educated and have a good understanding of what “climate change” is and how it’s going to affect our lives. For example, in the article “6 things you can do to prevent climate change” by Dr. Adrian Rubin, he said “The importance of educating others about climate change cannot be overstated in our modern society. There are many platforms for us to utilize that can allow us to spread our message easily. Whether you use word of mouth or social media, there are always ways to educate others on what climate change is doing to our planet. You can help protect the planet by educating others about the dangers of climate change and how to act against it.” What this is statement is telling me that there are different ways of we can make our planet better, but we need to educate those children or adults about climate change and how it makes an impact in our lives today. In our society, we have a problem of not teaching ourselves why we should care about the weather change. Some people may or may not care about climate change, but educating yourself a little bit of it and learn the outcome of it can’t hurt because there may be things you may know that may help our scientists today. I’m not saying you need to educate yourself or you do, but by researching and learning about our earth could help us grow in the future. The point Dr. Adrian is trying to make is to learn about our climate change and what can we do to make a change and save our earth from dying. That’s the message Dr. Adrian is trying to make.
