In recent years, the public is getting aware of the extinction of marine resources. The concerns and awareness among the public have been increased due to the various articles published in newspapers or in magazines which are only sourced to reach out to the people. Oceans is the greatest gift to all the living creatures present on this planet. It is one of the most important systems on the planet who teams with other systems to provide a healthy living environment to the living beings present. But the seas or beaches which we enjoy looking at seems to be perfectly healthy when we look at it just to admire its beauty or for self-enjoyment. In the past years, human life has acquired everything from the ocean to ease their lifestyle without having any concern about the impact it will have on ocean life and future. If this continues for more years, then the mess which has been created by the humans will continue to grow and it will be too late to save a few species which are at the edge of extinction.

Conservation of marine life is a method made by few environmentalists to really want to help save the marine life which is in the hands of this cruel race. This conservation will help to save marine species and the habitats in which they reside. There are many mistakes made by human beings which cannot be undone but still there is a hope to improve them and to create a better outcome from it. The first step is to make people understand the issue and also the major impact it will be on the human race.

Pollution plays a major role in ruining the life of marine animals on this entire planet. Automobiles and factory wastes are undeniably one of the greatest sources of water pollution. The wastes which we observe from the companies are not in the form of only chemicals but these wastes also consist of boiling water which can kill any life it comes in contact with. Due to the contamination of the fresh water with this hot water, algae layer starts forming on the top of the water surface which does not allow the sunlight to pass through the water. This will minimize the chance of plant life below the water surface. This also affects the life of marine animals who are dependent on the plants as their source of food. Polluted water with harmful chemicals is also a carrier of diseases. Scientists discovered that many of the pollutants such as pesticides, oil, plastics etc are mostly found abundantly at the depth of the ocean. These harmful pollutants are consumed by the small aquatic animals because of which it is introduced in the food chain. They also discovered that these pollutants are then mixed with the seafood which is then consumed by human beings. The pollutants which are deposited by the farmers in the form of fertilizers consist of high intake of nitrogen which can be found in rivers, groundwater etc. This huge amount of nitrogen can form algae layer on the water surfaces which reduces the amount of oxygen content in the water. This low oxygen content water makes the aquatic life difficult to survive. This types of zones found in the oceans are known as dead zones. The scientists have discovered more than 400 dead zones all over the planet.

Pollution is forced down into the large water bodies and every day thousands of animals are dying due to it. Plastics are dumped into the water bodies in a variety of different ways. Being on soluble in water, it blocks many stream flows which do not allow water to flow freely. This water is then being pressurized by the increasing flow due to the blockage. When pressure is felt in the water, it can cause many harmful calamities which have the ability to destroy the entire life on the planet. The pressure in the water bodies is increasing day by day, this effect can be seen in the form of a cyclone underneath water which is responsible for the extinction of marine life. Marine animals cannot survive in this pressurized water. Most of the people are fully aware of this situation but still they force themselves not to think about the consequences right now and which can be taken care of once it gets out of control. How many seconds of the day it will take to throw a plastic bottle in a recycle bin? Why can’t we find a more eco-friendly solution to dispose of the insoluble wastes?

Marine life is considered s important because oceans are very essential to the existence of every life on the planet. The main source of oxygen is from the ocean and it also helps in the process of storing oxygen and capturing carbon dioxide. Ocean life is also rich in many other vital resources such some aquatic plants are used as medicines, the water is rich in minerals and to increase the coastal economies in the world. The Natural Resources Defense Council did a survey that stated the total of the annual costs by a few Californian communities was generated by preventing litter from becoming pollution in the ocean. This is around half a billion dollars that California can use for other worthy causes but still, it can’t do the purpose because the people residing there refused not to litter. Each of the living life residing beneath the waters plays an important role in balancing the earth’s environment. So it is very essential for the people to respect every life forms on earth because once the species becomes extinct, there is no other way to bring that life back to make life better.

The conservation of marine life programs is taking great effort in saving this part of the ecosystem and making people aware of it. They are making plans and strategies to make people save aquatic life forms for a better future. Without the efforts of these programs, the ocean’s future predicament would have been worse.

Global warming is another global threat to all the life forms on earth including marine life. In this paper, we will focus on the impacts of global warming on marine life. Due to increasing temperature on the earth, melting of huge glaciers, eradication of coral reefs and rising of ocean levels can be seen as a major threat to the planet. By the study of researchers at MIT, tropical storms are increasing every year due to the drastic and sudden change in the climate. According to the study, it is also observed that the intensity of hurricanes is increased by 50%

Tropical storms also may be on the rise because of climate change, as a study by MIT is showing. According to the university, hurricanes have increased in their intensity by 50% since the last 30 years. A solution to this issue should be quickly found because the oceans are not able to withstand such negative effects.

The effects of pollution and global warming cannot be changed completely but still, there is a chance of solving the problems which can reduce the further impact on the planet. This can be done by reducing the harmful possibilities of what can’t be undone. Instead of dumping the sludge waste or the chemical wastes in the water bodies, this waste can be used as a fertilizer by using it during the farming process providing fertilizers to the crops. If the wastes are contaminated by oils or metals, then a process to discrete the wastes and recycling it for further use can be done. The plastic products manufactured by a factory should introduce a material which can be fully recycled. Again the packaging materials used by the company can use an eco-friendly product such as papers to pack the fully finished product. A plan should be made in every household to minimize the use of plastics. The storage of food products can be done in eco-friendly containers which can be used for long terms instead of using plastic containers to store the food items. Educating the next generation on the effects of using plastic which can be a threat to living a peaceful life on this planet. The next generation should be totally banned from using such harmful products which are a living curse to humanity and all the life forms. Conserving marine life is a social issue which should be taught in every school as well as should screen on every social networking sites so that the next generation will be encouraged to come up with plans to recover our planet.

The oceans do so much for mankind that the human race could not otherwise live without them, such as providing food and livelihood for those who have no other way to get by. Marine life conservation is important because it works to save both aquatic species and their habitats, but without the help of the public, the work that organizations participating in this type of conservation can do will be minimal at best. The protection of the oceans is not a topic to take lightly and there is not an excuse for refusing to acknowledge that. Scientists have been talking about climate change, pollution, and the effect that these two issues have on oceanic species for years. This may be the last chance that anyone is given to do something about it.
