Now let’s be honest, we all or at least most of us have enemies, as we all cross paths with people who will end up not liking us or could even hate us in extreme cases. As the gospel passage tells us to love our enemies, cause we should treat others the way you want them to treat you. This is without question, one of the hardest for many of us to actually follow. But as long as we have this story of our life to be completed, we will definitely have to learn how to handle these types of people when they do come our way. We can learn this as Jesus gives us some good advice in Luke 6:27-31 about how he wants us to handle our enemies. As he says “ Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.”. So, we should shown kindness and love to our peers, even if we don’t like them, show love. This in turn will give you a reward, whether it is happiness or a blessing from Lord.

“As you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.” This is a theme in Luke 6:27-31, which tells us the answer to how can we all work together to create a happier world. As we all may know, kindness is the best medicine, and being generous can change the world. In luke’s passage when Jesus had said we are to love our enemies, he was creating a new level for relationships. In this world, there are many unfortunate events that occur due to the hate people have for others, an event is the Pulwama attack, in Kashmir. There was a suicide bombing attack on a CPRF convoy that killed 40 paramilitary troopers on February 14, 2019. In summary of Luke 6:27-31, Jesus tells us we can’t control others actions but we can control what we do, and kindness is the best option. “ Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,”, for this horrific event it is definitely hard to love your enemies, but if you show kindness and sharing there will be a big change in the relationship Pakistan has with India.

We all have definitely heard of Mother Teresa, well you should know her since there is a primary school right next to us named after her. Mother Teresa was a Roman Catholic Nun who devoted her life to serving the poor and needy around the world. She has founded the missionaries of charity. “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”, This is a quote by Mother Teresa, She tells us the matter of that little thing. The small compliments we give to people daily, whether it be “ you look pretty” or “ your smile is beautiful” can be small, but this little gesture will last forever. Mother Teresa has shown a lot of love and acts of kindness by taking care of the poor, her stories have changed the lives of people this generation to love one another by teaching her stories. We all know that one of the key themes of Mother Teresa is love and kindness. Mother Teresa has definitely changed the world with the many acts she has shown, one of them being that she had improved the education for the poor. She had displayed this by teaching the kids of Calcutta who didn’t have enough money to go to school. Mother Teresa had no classroom, no desk, no chalk, she picked up a stick and wrote on dirt, these were their lessons. With her also opening a charity for taking care of the sick and poor has left a huge impact on the world. To this day, we still learn the stories of Mother Teresa, as she teaches us that working together to spread love and kindness can create a happier world.

Now what makes you guys happy, is it more likes on Instagram or what if it is more people complimenting you. I know for sure, that is one thing that makes me very happy. Whether if someone says that my hair looks gorgeous, or my eyebrows look good, these little compliments always make my day. Now we all have enemies as is said before, maybe some of us. So the question is why should we love our enemies?, one is that it reveals something of the way God is, as Jesus is merciful. So if we live by this way, we also show something of what God is like. In school, we shouldn’t start rumors or spread secrets because we hate our enemy, instead of spreading love and compassion. Jesus also says that we are not to just force a smile and mind our own business when we are hated and mistreated, but we are to try to do good towards our attackers. In an all-girls school, we are prone to rumors and a lot of gossips, we should attach ourselves to what Jesus says “ Do to others as you would have them do to you.”
