The role of paramedic – a paramedic is mostly a senior member of a two people ambulance crew which there mission is to get a person in need of hospital care as fast as they can to the hospital and at the same time keeping the person alive till they arrive at the hospital sometimes the injuries caused by the accident or attack can be too harsh and some people don’t make it to the hospital and die in the ambulance or on the scene of the accident or attack, also the ambulance crew have been supported by emergency care assistant or technician and lastly the paramedics are mostly the first ones to be on the scene of an emergency, following this the paramedics require driving and staffing ambulance and other emergency vehicles which means that they need vehicles to transport people to the hospital and they need staff in the ambulance with the correct qualifications so for example they would need a person how is specially trained driver to drive the ambulance around town or to the emergency they need to attend to, also following this every paramedic that is on the job has to respond to emergency 999 call as if they didn’t there would be more of a chance of the person in need of help from the hospital will reduce their chance of survival and paramedics have the responsibility to answer all the 999 calls also the paramedics need to know how to monitor and administering medications like pain reliefs so when the person in need of them gets them and a safe amount so it doesn’t poison them which this also means that the paramedics need to be trained so they don’t make mistakes with medications and so they know how much they can give to somebody in addition to this the paramedics needs to know how to use specialist equipment like ventilators and defibrillators also they need to be trained so they can know how to use them and when so they can keep the person alive in the ambulance while the person getting transported to the nearest hospital so the doctors can give them proper care and fix him, in addition to this the paramedic also needs to have good communication skills so they can communicate effectively with patients and their relatives or friends so for example they can find out what has the person taken or what has he done to them self’s so the paramedics know what to do with the person needing the paramedic, this could happen all during one shift for a paramedic and the paramedic get involved in every car accident motorway accident, building fire and a lot more they get involved in every emergency call also paramedics deal with people that are injured or have an illness and need to be taken to the hospital as fast as possible so the paramedic prevent the person from ding and getting him to a place where the person is going to get safe/better. And lastly, the six C that the public services need to follow The National advisory group on safety of patients in England recommended that health care professionals must always apply a culture of compassionate care when looking after patients, a culture best summarised by the 6 ‘C’s Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, Commitment.

Medicals emergency a medical emergency is when there is a life-threatening illnesses or accidents which require immediate intensive treatment which for example could be a motorway crash which could have many vehicles involved which would mean there would be many people in need of medical help and people in need to be taken to the nearest hospital in which they would get the help they need to survive and get healthy and the paramedics would have to give people medical attention to people straight away as soon as they get to the scene of the accident and would need to get to the people that need the medical attention the most and put them in ambulances to get them to hospital as fast as possible.

Trauma emergency- trauma happens when person’s body suffers a wound from physical injury when a person’s body suffers multiple wounds or serious injuries that could result in death or serious disability it’s also know as major trauma some of incidents could lead to major trauma like a stab wounds and if you are suffering from then you will be taken to A&E department

The difference between medical emergency and trauma emergency is that in medical emergency your life is in danger and you need help as fast as possible as the person could die from the illness or the accident and in trauma emergency, your body suffers multiple wounds or serious injuries and people could be scared of certain objects because of the injury that happens to them because of it and will act not as usual and be uncomfortable and would need help to tackle the fear

Ethics at its simples form of ethics is a system of moral principles which they determine how people make choices and lead their everyday lives also ethics covers many more dilemmas like how to live a good life which means how to live a healthy happy life they also have our rights and responsibilities they also need to know the language of the right and wrong which means they need to know when to do the right thing and know if someone else is wrong and notice that mistake and make sure it doesn’t happen also they need to know moral decisions what is good for the patient and what is bad for the patient so they don’t give the patient something that he will react negatively to or possibly die as they need to keep him alive in addition to this also as a paramedic they need to follow standards set by The Health and Care Professions council these are the codes of standards that cover conduct, performance, ethics also proficiency in addition to this they also need to follow professional development, education and training following this every health care setting whether it be front line or support services they will have their own set of values also standards and expectations from their staff and people they serve which is the public. In order for everything to work as it works the paramedics need to know that they are here in place to protect the working force and the public also following this, they need to know what they are getting them self’s into in other words are a contract of what to expect also the paramedics expect to know how to behave at all times in addition to this they need to have good decision making process skills so as many people can survive. A paramedic that get a complaints will have to be checked if the paramedic doing the right thing and if not then he will be fired as he could be costing peoples life’s, a paramedic need to educate people about first aid and what to do while they are waiting for the ambulance to come to the scene that they are at, the paramedic has a duty of care. Duty of care as a paramedic is very important as paramedics get trained to administer medications and giving shots if necessary for the person that has been heavily injured and need it and paramedic’s patients are very high in duty of care following this all ambulance services strive to be a no harm organization this is because of the complexities and size of UK ambulance services things will go wrong but these errors shouldn’t lead to patient harm and lessons should be learnt from them following this francis report highlighted the catastrophic effects of poor care at the Stafford hospital which showed the number of deaths also unnecessary suffering due to the patient had been taken care of badly In other words poor care following this it also noted that a no blame cuture should be implemented and that should improve throught learning from other people mistakes rather than blaming people and lastly notes provided show that many failures where because of poor system and processes.
