Linguistic intelligence involves also with vocabulary, verbal or written. People with verbal-linguistic intelligence act a facility with vocabulary and language. They are commonly good in reading, writing, telling stories and//or remembering words and dates. They tend to pick-up best by reading, writing details, listening to discussion, and debat. They’re also commonly efficient at defining, coaching and oration or persuasive speaking. They frequently adapt learning foreign dialects smoothly as they have high verbal memory and remember, and an ability to comprehend and maneuver order and form (Rowe, 2015)

People associate grammar with errors and correctness, but comprehending grammar also helps us understand what makes sentences and paragraphs clear, interesting and precise. Grammar can be part of literature discussions when we and our students closely read the sentences in poetry and stories. And knowing about grammar means finding out that all languages and all dialects follow grammatical patterns (Haussamen, et al 2002). Grammar has the crucial role in all English ability. Anyone can be labeled as master of English if he/she knows grammar precisely (Zuhriyah, 2017). Seemingly those learners who has a lower intellectual capacity never seem to learn grammar regardless of how frequent they try (Meade, 1961)

Their studies focus more on generalization and some concepts that relate to linguistic and verbal intelligence. The gap between this research and their research is that this study strives to analyze the senior high school students’ linguistics and logical intelligence in English subject, since they’re expected to know this subject very well.

The importance of this study is to give significance on how linguistic and logical intelligence can be the major factor to the students’ academic performance. It will measure the capacity of one’s student on how great he/she in dealing with words and in verbal delivery. The purpose of this study is to find out which area does the student is more capable in dealing with, to balance the teachers’ perception in terms on the said fields, to enhance the students’ capability in linguistic or logical intelligence, and lastly, to help the students grow not only on their comfort zone but also in the different ground.
