The word “Islam” is derived from Arabic word “Salema” which refers to peace, purity, submission and obedience. A Muslim is someone who follows Islam and accepts and follows it whole heartedly without any questions and reasonings. A person enters the fold of Islam when he/she recites the kalma, “There is none worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah”. The norms and regulations through which a person needs to live their life on earth, are all detailed on in the last holy book called the “Quran”.

Social responsibility in Islam means that every individual of the society works to fulfill the needs and satisfaction of the society along with their own individual benefits.
