Natural Disasters: Characteristics Of Hurricane

Hurricane is a strong storm that goes around in circle, the wind is very strong, if the wind is less 39 mph then the name for this will be tropic depression and when the wind is higher than 39 mph it will be called tropical storms and the wind can go up to 79 mph which is faster then every animal alive and which can destroy some stuff and will cost the country some money. The highest it can go is 157 mph which will probably destroy everything because it’s fast like a train and if a wind is fast like that a person would die since the wind will take the person. The location of the hurricane is at the atlantic ocean, gulf of mexico, and carribean sea. The seasons where most hurricanes start is june through november to check if hurricanes are coming there is this system called the national hurricane center and here it can censor if hurricane is coming or not and this system has never gotten it wrong, it helps others to evacuate so that they will be safe and if there wasn’t this system people who doesn’t know if hurricane is coming will eventually die. The place where most hurricanes happen is the Atlantic side. Hurricanes get created because of warm ocean waters, there is a path where the hurricane goes and people who work for the sky system can track where it will go. Even though there are a lot of winds going on , the surface water temperature is twenty six degrees celcius. Hurricane winds do not change a lot in speed and direction because the wind just goes up to the sky instead of changing these stuff.

There are parts in hurricanes first called the eye and the eye is the hole in the storm and you can see it because it’s in the middle of it, there is this other part called the eye wall and this is the ring of the thunderstorm then the last one is called rain bands are the clouds. It’s still not found why the hurricanes form however they found out that warm ocean waters give energy to the strom and after giving the energy the clouds get gathered and will make a hurricane. The time when the most hurricanes happened was at the year 2005 which had 15 total hurricanes, 1518 deaths and 7 landfalls. The reason why 2005 had the most hurricanes was that at that time the temperature was very hot people were calling it hell and everyone couldn’t go outside because of the hotness and hurricanes love hot ocean water which made a lot of hurricanes happen, it costed the country hundred fifty one billion dollars. Hurricanes impact the ocean by the surface layer of Hurricanes ruin peoples’ stuff first they ruin people’s house because if the wind is too strong the house won’t be able to hold it then if the house is damaged they will have to move out which might take more money and all the hard work they did for the gas station or some other stuff gets ruined.
