All throughout history man and women have always been discriminated based on their color, age, gender and many other factors. Around the United States of America, discrimination is spread across the different races of origins. Law enforcement officers target certain people or groups based on their ethnic groups and races. No matter what or how people try to fix racial profiling it will never been fixed with the history/cases, the affects of racial profiling, and the many victims nothing has changed.

Racial profiling is one of the most troubling national problems in the United states. This problem occurs every day, all across the country and continues to grow as a problem. In 1514 king Charles mandated that all natives of the Americas must either serve the Spanish authority and concert to the Roman Catholicism or be persecuted. In 1964, Philadelphia, Rochester and Harlem were beaten by people because of the way they look. Civil rights commissions were set up in cities in response to all those protests in the 1910s and 1920s, and pressure was placed on local and federal governments to fight white racism and racial rioting against blacks. And while it was not almost effective, it certainly had that quality of security to it. And then what historians would agree would happen is that the police became the placeholder in so many cities for what the white community wants.

For instance, racial profiling charges have been made against policemen suspecting African American shoppers to be small scale thieves. Individuals have been racially profiled while commuting or shopping, of example, blacks are often stopped and questioned by cops if seen at the time of the crime/ This is a major issue in the USA, people debate if it should continue or if it should stop and the need to look into the problem.

It has become a major concern to everyone over racial profiling in recent years. Laws were introduced in congress seeking to ban racial profiling. The quote “omnibus civil rights bill, which includes provisions that would express a sense of the Senate that Congress enact legislation banning racial profiling and requiring law enforcement at the federal state and local levels to prevent the practice” shows how people are trying to find a way to ban racial profiling.

Another ethic group that gets targeted a lot are people from the east, especially those being called Muslims. Although all the arguments regarding Muslims and their connection to terrorism may be valid, it is worth noting that Middle East terrorists history might have migrated to Germany, England or any other country and therefore racial profiling using geographical factors is not expected to work either.

The fourteenth amendment which states “All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws” protects all American citizens by enforcing that the laws of the country offer them with equal security and protection, and that those who perform racial profiling should be notified that they are prohibited to do so by the Constitution.
