Statement of Purpose and Reasons for Studying Data Analytics and Business
I Mayur Brahmbhatt, would like to introduce myself as a tech enthusiastic person whose life is basically all about computers and programming. The evolution of technology has led to increasing innovation in data generation and storage. With the ability to generate large pools of data and subsequently deposit it into seemingly bottomless data base researches and analysts alike are able to correlate different factors and draw increasingly complex conclusions. These large set of data also allow for virtually infinite combinations of factors to be tested against each other, allowing for novel discoveries in fields such as medicine and population statistics. I have always been interested in organizing and drawing conclusion from large data sets, and hope to able to enhance my skill and understanding of the field through obtaining a Post Graduate diploma in Data Analytics for Business.
I have found my Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science, from Gujarat Technology University and got introduced to the domain of data analysis in the pre-final year of my undergraduate degree, during my tenure as a Intern in Sparks To Idea, where I have learned a lot about programming languages. The analytical thought process, cultivated over four years during my graduation has been instrumental in my success is not merely my academic pursuit following that, but also the professional career path I have chosen for myself. I had to analyze real-time purchasing and location data to determine the preference the potential consumers. I wish to use my knowledge and skills in data analytics to provide well sustained research and analysis for companies.
Throughout my graduation and practical work experience, I was fortunate to gain required experience in the domain of Data Analytics for Business as I believe there is still long way to go for me. This program will thus be a step towards achieving my dream. This program will train me in different methods of statistical analysis, and programming knowledge needed to continue with my goal to provide research for my companies.
Whereas, I searched a lot of universities and colleges on the internet and checked and compare their reviews with each other’s I got St.Clair College. St.Clair is one of the best colleges in Ontario especially Windsor campus, as well as I will get good exposure and to gain knowledge, as campuses are full of amenities for students to take advantage of. This includes many sports and fitness facilities, an extensive library and a wide range of food and drink options. Many social events occur throughout the year from fundraiser to sports games and this is an excellent way for me to experience true college life. For perusing the admission in St.Clair College, I started preparing of IELTS, and score over all 7 bands (L-8.5, R-7.5, W-6.5, S-6.0).
Ahead from here, I feel Data Analytics and Business is a truly a versatile field, and will allow me to succeed in a variety of different job. I have always been an avid learner, and look forward to using my analysis skills to range of application, from medical research to financial modeling. I believe that my computational skills, along with my knowledge of programming and statistical modeling, have given me an excellent background on which to understand deeper concepts. I look forward to using this degree in Data Analysis to obtain a position in a corporation in which my conclusions can be used to benefit the world, whether through research or commerce.
From financial viewpoint, I have paid 16,000 CAD in my tuition fees and 10,000 CAD in Scotia Bank’s Student GIC Program to cover my first year living expenses. In additions to this, my parents are working in government sector and have done sufficient saving for my education. All the financial documents are attached to the file.
