The Beatles As The Most Famous Band In History

Introduction

From one of the most famous bands in history, The Beatles stand at the top with iconic record breaking albums and singles. For many people around the world, the band holds a special place in their hearts.

Personally, they are important to me because their music has helped me through times I’ve felt alone and given me hope with some of their endearing lyrics and melodies. It also inspired me to take a deeper in music from a young age when I first started listening to their songs.

There’s at least fifty movies and documentaries that entails their life or features the film around their songs. Their album Abbey Road returned to no. 1 in its new 50Th anniversary editions, breaking their own longevity record after 49 years. The Beatles raised the bar for teen idol quality when they caused an initial fervor in teenagers who expressed their excitement as a whole at their concerts and public appearances.

I. First Main Point

This same year in 2019, a movie called Yesterday features their songs and is based on the idea of the world forgetting about the band and one guy reviving their songs. Just three years beforehand, a documentary called The Beatles: Eight Days a Week, was released in 2016 featuring them from their early years in Liverpool, England, to their concert tours around the world.

II. Second Main Point

Abbey Road has proved to be an exceptionally successful album in the Beatles ‘ catalog, having spent a total of 329 weeks on the band’s Billboard 200 chart, marking the most weeks on the chart for any studio album by them. According to Billboard, they “continue to hold the record as the act with the most No. 1s in the history of the Billboard 200 chart, with 19 leaders.”

III. Third Main Point

The fan frenzy that entailed them, got a name of its own as “Beatlemania” in 1963 where there started to be reports of teenage girls screaming, crying, fainting and chasing the band down the street; police escorts were already necessary. In the United States, the debut of the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show in February 1964 was an advertisement for both Beatlemania and the band to an audience of 73 million already primed by the media coverage.

Conclusion:

Apart from all the record breaking, substantial amount of movies and the upheaval of Beatlemania, the band achieved all these accomplishments simply because of their talent and the charisma that charmed all fans around the world. As the years pass, it’s only expected that their legacy and story is passed on through the generations.
