The Twelfth Night (Act 2, Scene 5)

Now this twelfth night seems like quite a good play after all, I wasn’t too keen, but my wife roped me into it. At least I get the best seats in the theatre right up high with all my rich friends comfy pillows and. Not crammed at all. As we walk in, we see the massive theatre and there is a white flag. A COMEDY MY FAVOURITE! The atmosphere was really quite appalling the stench was horrible and the dirty peasants where cheering and screaming for no reason whatsoever. But the play itself was very good.

But as much as I hate to admit it, I actually loved being part of the audience the yelling and screaming then silences really made it more suspenseful and exciting. It was a different and interesting experience.

Anyways, The Globe Theatre was full of people. It is a very popular part of today’s entertainment. It’s a great way to see friends and other people. None of us really have much of a choice either. It is such an escape form my boring and everyday life. Perhaps one day they will invent something else new, maybe they can invent something, and you won’t even have to see the characters in real life to able to watch them.

Let me tell you about one of my favourite scenes out of the whole play. So, the main character was Malvolio, Malvolio is Lady Olivia’s servant but is madly in love with her. The workers. Get sick of Malvolio taking away all there fun and claiming lady Olivia like a tool so they decide to play a practical joke on him they write him a note who he thinks is from Olivia. The letter says he must wear yellow stockings, act crazy and just keep smiling with no explanation at all. I feel bad for Malvolio thought it was quite appalling the way he acted but oh my gosh was it funny. Ha!! Hm, you’re not all laughing. I should have known. I promise it’s much better when you see it, oh I’ve just made myself look like a fool. Well at least at the globe everyone was laughing hysterically.

The globe theatre had some quite large pillars that the actors could hide behind and just pop out of nowhere they where used especially when a. character was saying the asides (the thoughts of other characters) the stage was simple, but the actors made the play magical and exciting. I could clearly pick out what the director had done by putting Malvolio front and center and Sir Toby, Sir Andrew, Maria and Fabian in the corner behind the pillars as Malvolio shouldn’t be able to see them.

All the actors were magnificent but I particular liked Maria he acted her very well even though there were no girls in the play, and it was a boy acting like a girl which is how it should be its good girls aren’t on stage men do a much better job. He did amazing acting.

All in all, the play was magnificent. You would all enjoy the twelfth night; well I think you would. I don’t exactly know you that well. YOU! You there…. You look like someone who would like the play. Well that’s. all from me now bye…
