3 Types of dogs that I love

A dog is a very common animal that has lived with humans for more than 12,000 years. It is one of the two most ubiquitous and most popular domestic animals in the world (the cat is the other). Domestic dogs are dogs that have been tamed and trained by humans. All domestic dogs are related to wolves. Many people today, in all countries around the world, keep dogs as household pets and many even regard their dog as a family member. The taxonomy of the dog reflects that he is a member of the animal kingdom, or Animalia. The phylum Chordata, which includes those animals that are chordates or vertebrates, meaning they have a backbone. Dogs are classified in the Carnivora order and the Canidae family. The genus Canis and species lupus of the dog are the same as that of the wolf. The dog is then classified as a subspecies, familiaris, of Canis lupus. There are currently around 800 different types/species of domestic dog worldwide. Included are mountain dogs such as Saint Bernards or Huskies, and the territorial guard dogs like the Neapolitan and Tibetan Mastiffs. There are three types of dogs that I love. These are Newfoundland, vizsla and the bulldog.

The first type is the Newfoundland. Its scientific name is lupus familiaris, nicknamed as Newf and Newfie. It is a large working dog with a long, wavy coat. This is found in black, brown, grey and land seer. Due to ‘Solid’ being dominant over ‘spotted’, and selective breeding, today the majority of Newfoundland dogs are solid black (Bondeson, 2015). It is considered one of the most intelligent types of dogs in the world. It is gentle, kind and patient. This type of dog is a great swimmer and has been known to save lives in emergency situations. It is also easily trained and is quite task-oriented. He is great with children and also does well with other pets. However, Newfoundland is known to drool and shed excessively, hence he should not be left to live outdoors in the yard. He prefers to keep a separation between he’s family and any intruders. Newfoundland males are sometimes aggressive with other male dogs. Believe or not the Newfoundland has its techniques when it comes to pulling people to shore. If the person is responsive the dog allows the person to grab onto them and be towed to safety. If a swimmer is not responsive, the dog instinctively grips the person by the arm so that the body rolls on its back and the head is out of the water.

The second type is the Vizsla. Its scientific name is lupus familiaris and i nicknamed it as Viz. He has certain physical characteristics that distinguish him from other dogs, such as his lightweight and muscular body and his short, smooth rust-colored coat. Vizsla is sleek and strong. This type of dog is royal, affectionate, obedient, confident and smart, forming close bonds with family and able to learn new tricks quickly. He is one best dogs for active and energetic families with older kids. He is also very social, he does well with children, and he is friendly toward strangers as long as he is properly socialized. He gets along with other dogs too. Aside from shedding a bit, his grooming needs are basic: A weekly brushing, occasional nail trims, and regular cleaning of the ears and brushing of his teeth. But they get bored easily and need lots of exercise activity. He is easily distractible, and this can cause problems when training. Also, he may suffer separation anxiety and fear of loud noises such as thunderstorms. His worst fear is being separated from his family, which means he absolutely can’t live in the yard. This dog requires plenty of physical exercises and human affection. A lack of exercise can cause a Vizsla to become restless. He may suffer from hypothyroidism, dwarfism, persistent right aortic arch, tricuspid valve dysplasia, and progressive retinal atrophy (PRA). He is also prone to minor health concerns like lymphosarcoma and canine hip dysplasia, or major issues such as epilepsy. Funny story is, this type of dog is exceptionally clean and it makes this known by immediately shaking off water and debris and constantly grooming himself.

The third type is the bulldog. Its scientific name is lupus familiaris, my neighbor nicknamed it as Bully. Bulldog has a short, smooth, dense coat, which is glossy and fine, He is characterized by a wide head, short muzzle, widely spaced eyes, small size (Mansour, Lucot, Konopelski, Dickinson, Sturges, Vernau, & Verstraete, 2018). He is a gentle family companion and is admired for the qualities of loyalty and determination. He has a sweet, gentle disposition. Dependable and predictable, the bulldog is a wonderful family pet. He is an affectionate, bold, kind natured dog that is good with children and often protective of them. Bulldog is one of the most popular breeds in the world because of its child-like appearance and demeanor. (Pedersen, 2016). This type of dog is sociable and generally good with other pets and enjoys having company. He is fairly a fast learner and is highly motivated by food. House-training is not usually an issue. He has a bold character so is reasonably adaptable to different situations and not phased by busy city environments. The Bulldog may be perfect in spirit, but in the flesh, he’s a different story. These dogs are intolerant of warm weather and may die if overheated. Too much exercise or stress can make it difficult for them to breathe. Without exception, Bulldogs must live indoors and need air conditioning in all but the mildest summer weather. Due to his shortened face, care should be taken when it is hot to keep him calm and cool as he can have breathing difficulties. This type of dog can be prone to skin problems and also suffer from several other health problems some of which are due to breeding for exaggerated physical characteristics, Bulldogs can be stubborn and this can make training difficult. Funny how bulldog has enduring popularity due to its laughter, love and a face that everyone adores.

A dog is a man’s best friend. Dogs are beloved by people everywhere as their preferred furry companion. Dogs belong to the family of canids. Within the family of canids are the animals that belong to the Canis genus, such as the gray wolf, whose scientific name is Canis lupus. The dog, as a descendant of the wolf, is part of his family. Hence, the scientific name of the dog is lupus familiaris. Usually, there many different types of dogs like Newfoundland, vizsla and, bulldog. Newfoundland is a large and strong dog that was originally used as a working dog to pull nets for fishermen and haul wood from the forest. He is a capable and hardworking dog, well suited to work on land or water. He is also strong swimmer. Vizsla on the other the hand is affectionate, gentle and energetic. He is a sensitive dog and enjoys being active and learning new things. He has a short, smooth coat that is dense and quite greasy, and needs very little maintenance – just a weekly brush. Bulldog is jovial, comical, and amiable, among the most docile and mellow of dogs. He is willing to please, although he retains a stubborn streak. He is very good with children. Most are moderately friendly toward strangers. Although some can be aggressive with strange dogs, this type is quite good with other pets. Dogs are cuddly, adorable and the perfect friend to have around.
