If somebody talks about war and peace now a day, they have to talk about terrorism too. After a lot of terrorism attacks and wars a lot of question are arisen such as is terrorism an act of war or is there a war against terrorism. Another question is why is it so hard for the world to have an “eternal peace”. In this paper I will try to take each of the concepts and explain them.

Peace

Hard as this is to believe, we live in one of the most peaceful eras of human history. (Pinker, 2011) Homicides are falling in most parts of the globe for a long time. Even though there has a been a rise on civil wars because of the problems in South Sudan, Afghanistan, Syria and Yemen, there is still a very low rate on violence.

The issue of war and peace has always been a focal issue all told periods of history and in the slightest degree levels relations among nations. The priority of the humankind for peace may be assessed by taking under consideration the actual fact that each one religion, all religious scriptures and several other religious ceremonies are committed to the explanation for peace and everyone this advocate an elimination of war.

A war can’t accomplish what peace can. The powers of peace can lead over ignorance and superstition, over lack of education and unethical behavior, over illness and physical enduring over poverty and governmental abuse. The triumphs of peace are peaceful and bloodless. They cause no pain to mankind and don’t give life or property. No one but peace can achieve social changes. During the war, men are excessively occupied in military to consider social improvement. It is just during peace that a literacy campaign can be expressed that the way of life of the majority can be raised, that better houses can be worked for poor people, that more schools and universities can be opened, that penitentiaries can be changed, that wrongdoing can be adequately checked. Indeed, even the best possible working of vote-based system itself is conceivable just in the midst of peace. There can be no races, no legislature of the individuals when a nation is in the pains of war. peace advances majority rule government.

To put it plainly, it is during peace that a general improvement is conceivable in cleanliness and conventionality, in refinement and taste, in propensities and ethics, in habits and discourse. In peace, as well, lies the open door for sports, for horse-hustling, skiing, tennis, cricket, football and hockey competitions and athletic challenges of numerous sorts. It is frequently said for the war that it draws out the best in man by making an open door for people to show their extraordinary forces of continuance, their boldness their ability for altruism and their enthusiasm. This is genuine enough in the midst of peace, individuals will in general become lazy and lethargic. A lot of straightforwardness bagels inertness and a lack of concern to work. In any case, to cheer war since it invigorates men into action would truly be crazy. So grim are the horrors of war thus devastating its belongings that no defense of it on any ground at all is conceivable.

War

History is packed with events that involved the huge shedding of blood. There’s little doubt that war is that the greatest catastrophe that may befall personalities. It brings death and destruction, merciless slaughter and butchery, disease and starvation, poverty and ruin in its wake. War is employed to attain certain goals through the employment of force. The most important causes for war are resources, which might be territory, water, gold, minerals or animals; and ideologies: policy making, religion, philosophical differences. All people have suffered a lot from wars and never have gain anything good from it. Not only are soldiers tormented by war, but also the civilians they fight to safeguard. It leaves a trail of destruction in its path, together with havoc and despair.

What is war?

If we see a simple definition of war in a dictionary it is “an armed clash between nations or factions in the same nation.” Describing it this way makes it look less worse than it is. We can definitely agree with the fact that war is very devastating.

Are wars necessary?

I think, there are quite few people that actually believe that the war may be a good thing, wholesome and useful. it’s and has always been the worst and one of the most disgusting, destructive events that may have ever happen. But it’s to the identical degree wrong to accuse it of all the deadly sins existing within the world. Although war is usually bad, sometimes it’s the lesser bad, in some cases it’s inevitable. Are there good things that war may bring?

I, of course, don’t support the thought that the war is critical in socio-economic sense – there’s such some extent of view, stating that the war is that the motivity of development and effective method of keeping demographic relationships steady. Of course, some creations were first applied in military, but also because this study has permanently been better supplied. And, although lots of individuals die within the course of wars, it’s not enough to essentially influence demographics, especially nowadays.

I am speaking about the war because the conflict of interests and state that yes, in certain situations war is critical and even seems into a thing to be happy with. War could also be offensive and defensive and, a bit like within the case of self-defense, within the event of armed attack from another country any reasonably violence utilized in retaliation is appropriate, because the other course of action will mean suicide. viewing the identical analogy, there’s not much difference between a country attacking another country from a mugger on the road. The actual fact that the offenders are numerous, wear uniforms and deliver speeches makes absolutely no difference. Positive effects of war can be seen in lieu of technological development that has led to a competition of power. Increased military and naval power have however, been an added advantage to the security of countries. Invention of atomic bomb is one such example. Research in warfare lead to substantial development in the field of defense, motivating countries to prove themselves supreme over others.

It may be inferred that whatsoever may be the advantages of war on the economic growth of a country, it nevertheless, may be considered a negative approach owing to the amount of destruction it causes to the human life and property.

If we look everything in an ethical way every reason that comes should be compared with the fact that is it more valuable than a person’s life?

I personally disagree with war and I don’t think if there is any big reason to start a war. Wars never give something good to the society they only destroy everything that we have built. Many plants, factories, historical buildings are crushed down and there’s the big harm to the environment. Mother Nature gives all men such a large number of miracles, and reciprocally it gets grief with such a horrible activity as war.

Terrorism

The discussion about ‘Terrorism’ has, thus, become part of our lives, while the media became a central player in delivering the foremost recent developments on this issue, and keep people informed and updated. One just cannot evade it! Every person has his own point of view and particular way of looking at this concerning difficulty, issue. Terrorism is one more of these words that everyone seems able to use, but no-one can approve on an actual meaning. Even the experts still argue about the way the term should be applied, and there are said to be over 100 different definitions of terrorism, not one amongst which is universally accepted.

Some people would not agree that the aim of the many acts or attempted acts of political violence is indeed to cause terror. But there are many various situations during which people experience horror that are never distinct as terrorism.

Another problem with the definition is that it generally excludes any reference to violence perpetuated by states. Although the word terrorism has its origins in the activities of the French state, the term has been increasing used to cover only the activities of non-state actorsThe empirical evidence, however, suggests otherwise.

A second problem with the term terrorism is that it’s so emotionally charged and pejorative that it’s difficult to possess a rational debate about the danger and harm stemming from political violence. the difficulty is further compounded by the actual fact that several people working within the police and security services, as well as politicians, have a vested interest in distorting and talking up the danger.

A last characteristic of the notion of terrorism is its broad aspect. It functions ideologically to strengthen and reify the current structures of power in society, as Richard Jackson has observed. It camouflages the role of states and particular political elites worldwide. There is a shared set of assumptions about the meaning, the nature, causes and responses to what’s labeled as terrorism. These facts legitimize the “war on terror” and its associated policies of regime change, military development in new districts, torment, and unusual rendition. Furthermore, it provides the reason for the expansion of national safety, the introduction of extraordinary legal powers, and also the advance of a panoptic closed-circuit television, of which philosopher like Jeremy Bentham would be proud. It also produces a quiescent and obedient population.

In conclusion, terrorism’ poses many questions, changes and a series of complications. It’s now not an issue of specific country but a problem involving a number of international aspects. In other words, ‘terrorist’ organizations, more than ever, may perpetrate attacks in different countries; the victims of the attacks are from different nationalities; the offices, headquarters, and training camps of ‘terrorists’ organizations function in several countries; ‘terrorists’ organizations receive direct and indirect support from different states, enlist support from different ethnic groups, and secure economic help throughout the globe. it is becoming a big problem now a days.
