“Every person in this country who has the desire and ability should be able to get all the education they need regardless of the income of their family. It is not a radical idea. In Germany, Scandinavia, and many other countries, higher education is free. We must do the same.” This quote by Bernie Sanders informs his audience that education should be free for everyone so that the students who have desire and ability can get it. Although some people believe that education should not be free for everyone because if it would free everyone gets it. Then no one would be ready to get a low paid job, education should be free so that people who have less money would get more opportunities to achieve their goals.

Ethically, opportunities should be open for all people. It seems unfair that people who have less money are going to miss more opportunities. Free education makes it easier for families who cannot afford to pay their students to go to college. With free education, families will be able to manage the stress of trying to pay their students the amount of homework to go to college and the family. Most parents wish for their children to go to school and become successful people, but due to poverty, they won’t be able to. Education should be free to help children with their careers because most children want a bright future. The things they need are opportunities to bright their dreams and achieve their goals.

Secondly, free education will allow students to concentrate on their studies, instead of their jobs. While going to school, most students have part-time jobs. These jobs help pay for many things like car payments, phone payments, and even school. Many students face a daily struggle of not only having to pay bills but trying to also pay for school each semester to take at least one class. Free education will help students concentrate on their studies more than worrying about a job and managing their schedules daily. After studies, they would get the good job they want. If everyone went to college free. Maybe we would also have a lower rate of crime and people sitting around on the streets wasting time because everyone would be busy going to college and studying trying to get a career to be a better person.

However, some people think that with free education, more students would be able to go to college, then the Quantity of students increase in classes and the Quality of education decrease in the long run as classes and resources will be limited. Students might begin to take colleges for granted. They believe that the number of students is responsible for the quality of education. If the students increase in numbers then the quality decrease and vice versa.

In conclusion, I do think education should be free for everyone because all people deserve equal educational opportunities, no matter who they are or how they look or how much money they have. Everyone is equal. It everyone’s right to get a chance to improve their lives. It can students who struggle with affording college, elders who never got to start or finish their degree, and single parents trying to get back into the workforce.
