“That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind” Those are the words of Famous Astronaut and aeronautical engineer Neil Alden Armstrong. Many say that the space landing is one of the biggest achievements mankind has done, with all the expenses and burned fuel just to get to the moon, mankind can say that the first moon landing is an actual achievement that mankind can keep on addressing. After the first landing on the moon, many more astronauts have begun their space exploration for example the Clementine mission has succeeded in mapping the moon’s surface in wavelengths other than visible light, from ultraviolet to infrared. After so many space explorations and landings on the moon, several new technologies were formed but it still doesn’t answer the question; is space exploration a crucial task for humans?

Humans are very curious creatures; humans will try to understand the things that revolve around them. Humans are too curious that they have started studying what is far beyond their very own reach. In the year of 1957 The Soviet Union has sent an unmanned mission into space which they called the sputnik 1. The Sputnik 1 has been successful and stayed in outer space for three months. After four years Russian Lt. Yuri Gagarin Flew to space; the flight lasted for an hour and forty-eight minutes and as soon as he reached space He became the first man to orbit the earth. these two are part of the more space exploration achievements mankind has achieved. Due to the fact the space exploration needs money and resources more than the usual need for the economy, it has sparked some serious debates. Debate: for and against space exploration – is space research a waste of time? (Tenison & Bizony, 2017) Stated that for those who disagree in spending more money in further scientific space exploration is just a waste of good resources. The party that is against Space exploration said that only little has been achieved and it doesn’t have a major impact in fact the party said that there has only been a little improvement for the technology which the party said that the improvements were to be discovered in any means even without space exploration. The party claimed that there are more issues that are being faced on earth and this issues that we are facing are worsening every time. These incorporate the vanishing of the rainforest, the contamination of the seas, and expanded desertification of a zone about the span of Britain consistently. These are the general emergencies that are going to the planet, very separated from the financial commodities that people are obsessed with. The party implied that in the event that the crumple of civilizations is an intermittent subject, the party ought to search for methods for dealing with the planet’s assets so as to make how we live reasonably. The party thinks that the best approach to do that isn’t to go charging off into Space, squandering mind blowing amounts of cash in quest for some delusion that we may in one-day return with some significant mineral. Science ought to commit the sorts of wholes of cash that it is siphoning into space to working out how to manage the atmosphere here on Earth. The party stated that there has been an ongoing research on climate change management, and they have produced a way to make it rain if they want it to rain. These devices that could stop rain has been use in many occasion for example the Chinese used the device to prevent an incoming rain during the Beijing Olympics, and the party claimed that it never rained during the victory day parade in Russia. In any means the innovation for controlling the weather is already in place and the resources must be used in developing the technology and let it be introduced in the world of civilians. If the money that goes to the space exploration is to be given to climatologists it could have a long lasting benefits to mankind, and space science is not bad science it’s just that it is a waste of time that can be used in producing a more convincing beneficial technology in earth. In response to the other party, Piers Bizony said that Humans are living in a different age, an age where young ones are more reliant on their smartphones and lap tops in finding a newer knowledge and newer discoveries. For Piers he said that it is important to Introduce people to a physical sense of exploration, he stated that people should be exploring more about the world around us, the hostile, strange, and very challenging environments. there are 99.99 percent of deep oceans left undiscovered. And it is only by putting people in new physical places that we can make genuine and crucial scientific findings. Science’s human presence is almost the definition of science. It is a human effort to gather knowledge, not just a machine, to collect data. The robots we send to these environments don’t know what to look for, and they especially don’t know how to surpass them. some people will say that we’re in the most profound monetary emergency since the 1930s and we basically don’t have save stash cash for this. Be that as it may, the primary thing to recall when taking a gander at the ongoing declaration that Nasa is to place $1.6bn into an undertaking to get its space explorers up the International Space Station, is this is really not an expansive total of cash. The protocol ensures that the development of a quality technology base, not only in companies but in young people who is in need of an inspirational boost for their education. Space science is full of challenges in the means of materials, young minds would be interested in building a probe that can explore the outer space. More importantly, solving the challenges sends a good result to the people. Some people are disillusioned that their money goes to waste when they invest their money in rockets. but that is not what is happening for the money goes back. There were no space programs that hasn’t been a good economic stimulus. Thus the subject of interest in space isn’t one of tossing great cash after nothing. As far as science, 99.999 percent of all that we have to know is off-world. It’s unfathomable that we don’t send progressively individuals out there to discover increasingly about it. The debate proves that space exploration is definitely necessary and it has benefits. Even though space exploration causes many disturbances to economy due to the division of resources and money, space exploration still gives an edge to technological advancement and physical exploration. Space exploration give birth to new technologies like; CAT scanner which is a cancer-detecting technology that was first used to find imperfections in space components, Computer microchip It is a modern microchip which descended from integrated circuits used in the Apollo Guidance Computer, Cordless tools: power drills and vacuum cleaners use technology designed to drill for moon samples, and many more gadgets that humans use basically in their everyday lives.

In conclusion, space exploration is a very crucial task for humans, the fact that it gives an extreme boost to the technological advancement of the world proves its worth. Even though there are huge risks to the economy because of the division of resources as stated in the debate it is still needed by humans. Space exploration introduces humans to a physical understanding of the possibilities that surround them. Exploring space is very important right now, there are many strange things happening in the earth, things that can endanger human race, what if the answers that will solve the problems on earth lies in space, who will seek out the answers if we remove the ability to go to space? The universe is a complex thing, how will humans understand it’s complexity if humans will not explore its vast possibilities. Space exploration is very crucial, not just for human knowledge but for human safety as well.
