Boroghil Valley National Park or Boroghil Pass is a national park and valley situated in the most north of Upper Chitral District, of Khyber Pakhtun Khwa Pakistan. It is situated near to Pak-Afghan border close to the Tajikistan border which is also familiar with Wa -Khan Corridor. The Boroghil Valley is situated 250km away from Chitral city. The three-day Boroghil festival arranged from 12 to 14 sept 2019. Preliminary, the festival was fixed on 6th to 8th of September. But in 2019, it was postponed for a week because of Muharram ul Haram. The Boroghil festival is well-organized by upper Chitral District administration and Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtun Khwa (TCKP), the festival exhibit numerous activities, inclusive of free style mountain polo, yak polo, tug of war, buzkashi, wrestling, donkey polo, football, marathon race, cricket, traditional music and other traditional games. As stated by the organizers of yak race, food shoes, yak polo, fireworks and traditional music are the leading characteristics of the Boroghil festival. To assemble genuine arrangements for focus on various aspects of the old and ancient unique culture of the Wakhi, the Provisional Minister for Sports and Tourism has directed the officials of his department to work together with the administrators of upper Chitral.

The Boroghil valley is located about 253 kilometers away from Chitral city and 180+ kilometers away from upper Chitral head quarter Booni bordering the Wakhan corridor of Afghanistan. The valley has almost 30 fresh and clean water lakes of different sizes which presents breath taking scenes and sights. Its extended glaciers, unbelievable able and wonderful wildlife, disperse wetlands, gigantic and humongous mountains, wealthy wilderness and green meadows are the leading tourism prospective of the Boroghil valley and district of Upper Chitral. The Boroghil National Park a jewel of wild originality and translocating animals and birds, mainly Siberian and Pamirian bird kinds. The yak polo is played at an altitude of thirteen thousand six hundred feet (13,600 ft.) above the sea level in Ishkarwaz polo ground Boroghil Valley National Park. The yak sellers reach Boroghil Valley before the festival to arrange yaks for those who are interested in yak polo including local, national and international tourists. There are also tent villages are establish on the days of festivals in Boroghil valley to facilitate the tourists. You can travel to festivals from Chitral city and Upper Chitral (Booni) via local vehicles and you can also find jeeps for rent from all over Chitral including Mastuj valley.
